Homemade Pizza is Never Late

Hola!  How are you?  Last weekend we decided we would encourage the kids to make a meal and of course they picked pizza...not that I am complaining.  I love pizza pie!  Hubble and I helped them make a list of their requested ingredients and lent a hand with the vegetable cutting, but otherwise they were on their own.  The result was pretty tasty too.
Masters of Sauce
Del: Just a little piece of cheese...                                                      ...Atti: I love pupp-i-oni
Almost finished......
Into the oven for about 12 minutes

The finished pie was stellar and we paired it with a salad for a late lunch.  Next weekend I think they wanna make breakfast so I am anxious to see what they come up with.  Ciao!

Lots Going on as Usual

First off let me vent by saying this new format crap from Blogger is the pits!  Is anyone else having trouble with formatting?  It's aggravating to say the least.....

This is one of the snowflakes we made while we endure cabin fever.  I have been trying really hard to do at least one craft or art project with the kids each weekend to keep them creative and occupied.  Today we made hearts for our windows too.  Maybe I will takes some pics of them for next week.

I missed last week's update because we were celebrating Hubble's 30th berfday.  Twas a hoot and the cake was a riot.  You can check out the pics on Facebook if you know where to find me.

And below we have my silly pirate brother helping with photo documentation for the day after the party......we were still celebrating despite our lack of z's and batch of underdone brownies...nasty

And somehow this other silly pirate got into our family affair and tried to make us all walk the plank.  They do that a lot in New York, but we were really glad he showed up.

Other than that we have been trying to do little home projects during the week and trying to catch up on our cleaning.  I have started working out regularly and gave up playing that ridiculous Farmville and somehow I have less time to do anything than I did before.  I envy all the other crafters who have time (however limited) to do what they love.  I am getting there, but I can't seem to make it all work together yet.
I am working on a few little crafty things here and there and hope to have some pics up for you soon.  Ciao!

What We Have Been Up To

It has been busy around here, but in a good and not overwhelming way.  We painted the bench in the kids' playroom and it is all shiny and pretty for sitting!  Up there on top is a dish cloth I am working on as part of a set for a birthday present.  Super-easy pattern from Lily Sugar-n-Creme that can be found at Michael's near that section of yarn.

My new water bottle for work......two for one at Target!

So you see those Catty girls got me on this point challenge thing and we get a point if we drink 32 oz. of water a day and 2 point for 64 oz.  I stopped drinking water at work because I had to go the bathroom all the time, but I really want to win so I am back on the wagon with my cute albeit neutral bottle.   (I am normally a bright colors kind of girl, but the other bottle it came with really pleased Hubble)

Today we got out and did some sledding on Killer Hill and while it looks like there is not enough snow we had a blast.  The tracks were packed down tight and the sledding was lightning fast.  We even got to tryout a few ramps that had been made the night before.  This was a first for both of the kids.....Atti on a hill that big and Del's first time altogether.  It was a hoot!

Last night we got our craft on and made some bird feeders out of pine cones.  This activity reminds me of my childhood and is super easy for the kiddos to do.  I can't wait to see what birds drop in for a bite.

Until next week.......Ciao!

The Official Switcheroo

I am starting the year off slowly.......really making sure I buckle down and do the best things for myself and my family.  My Wiki-How-To gadget had a post the other about how to make your own bath loofa.  For a practiced crocheter this is a great way to slow down, but accomplish something at the same time.  It took me a couple of hours, one ball of cotton yarn and little effort to complete it.  And you can throw it in the wash and reuse it!  I am thinking this would be a good baby gift with some super mild baby body wash.  Cute, quick and cheap.....me likes.
