How to Make: Kick-ass Popcorn

It's really not that hard to make popcorn on top of your stove. Some kernels and a little magic ought to do the trick resulting in popcorn you can't eat fast enough. Weird. Here's how you really get the perfect blend of salt, butter and of course, popcorn.

You will need:
A really big pot
2 T. vegetable oil
1 T. unsalted butter
1/3 c. white corn kernels
1 decent shake of popcorn salt (use your judgment here)

Combine all the ingredients in the pot over high heat and cover. Don't leave. This won't take long. Give the pot a good swish to get all the kernels covered with the oil, butter, and salt. Stay put and listen, swishing occasionally. Once you really hear the oil bubbling in there keep the pot moving or you could burn the corn. You should start to hear popping soon so keep the pot moving over the heat until the amount of pops slows down to almost none. Remove from heat, put in your favorite bowl and eat. Voila!
