Manny Pack

In my mind, you should always make your husband something ridiculous for Valentine's Day and then give it to him late. Even better if you use his old clothes as material. Then it's free too. Like this tutorial.

~he totally stuffed that bag with a sock~

Pooch Mat

My princess pooch (or so she thinks) will park her rear on ANYTHING soft, so we are careful about what we leave laying around because she is so smelly. I used a thrifted flannel sheet and some old curtains from the Dude's room to make these. They are stretched over some 1 inch batting I had laying around and "quilted" with a few knots. Easy peasy, fully washable, and then I saw on Pinterest that Martha Stewart made the same thing. Mine are cuter though.

Blue Warmers

My auntie requested royal blue fingerless gloves and I thought she might like a little confetti thrown in. It's what I had on hand and works up nice and snug to fit smaller hands if you use Lion Brand's Wool Ease. I am using Paton's wool to make myself a pair and the fit is not as nice, but I wanted all wool. I might start them over anyway-not really my colors. Pattern HERE.

Yarn Con

Magic and Moonshine's yarn cakes. I could have bought them all!

I am officially a dork. I went to a convention that celebrates one of my favorite things and it did not disappoint. Yarn Con. Chicago. Color. Bestie. Birthday present. Yarn!! I used up my budget on day one. And then got a little more (not too much though). And then loved it and looked at it and rubbed it. Every strand I bought got to ride home in my pack and learned to be friends by the time we got back. Believe it or not, I restrained the picture taking, because I thought "What am I going to do with a bunch of pictures of yarn?" Then again, I am a junkie.

Now I know what to do with all my scraps.

I remember seeing one of these machines on Sesame Street, but I don't know what it's called.

From Happy Farms in Missouri. These were their best colors.

I have never played with roving, but these made me consider making a drop spindle.

Easter Messenger Bags

I have always been lukewarm on Easter, and thought it might be time to update the traditional baskets with something the kids might use all year. I added a thing/strip/fabric to this pattern HERE. Even with the added depth they could have been a little bigger, but the kids liked them and as usual, I learned a ton from making mistakes.
